The person behind this trip is Ope Oloyede (aka Opson), a Houston, TX based Entrepreneur.

“I have a passion for helping African Americans to be educated, informed, and connected with their cultural and spiritual roots in Africa. I believe that it is essential for everyone to know their history so they can truly become the person they were meant to be. To visit the country of Ghana and see the historical sites associated with the slave trade, but also to see the modern day history of Ghana’s role in the pan-African movement and the throwing off of colonialism, makes this an inspiring trip. To pair this tour with the Ancestry DNA test that shows tribal and ethnic background, and then to cap it off with a Traditional African Naming Ceremony, makes it a life-changing event.” Ope Oloyede.
